A L’espresso Ltd. venture, is the first specialty coffee startup of Bangladesh. We are a one-of-a-kind coffee venture in Bangladesh and aim to bring affordable, premium quality specialty brewed coffee to the mass consumer level. Through our unique approach, we wish to provide a simple coffee experience in the most convenient manner possible. At L’espresso – Your Local Coffee, we have successfully converted the established brick and mortar model into a portable, mobile kiosk model which is highly scalable, sustainable and stable. Our unique and fully customizable model allows us to brew specialty coffee consistently almost anywhere without the need for specialized baristas. We have successfully managed to bridge the gap that is existing in the current market between instant coffee and premium brewed coffee and cater to the masses. The specialty brewed coffee industry in Bangladesh is restricted to the antiquated brick and mortar model built around expensive, manual coffee machines which requires specialist baristas to operate. The static nature of this antiquated brick and mortar model has led to specialty coffee being available on a city level only and soaring retail coffee prices due to a variety of market barrier factors such as incremental location costs (advance, development and rent), stringent import policies and tax regulations on a governmental level, price sensitivity of the market and an unskilled and impassionate labor market.
Coffee is a necessity, not a luxury. Premium quality brewed coffee should be accessible and affordable for everyone, not just for those who can afford it. At L’espresso – Your Local Coffee, we believe in a few core principles. One of our core principles is to generalize coffee for everyone. We have successfully implemented a model which addresses current market barriers and market inequalities. Another one of our core principles is that not only do we believe in making coffee available for everyone, we also encourage and empower “Coffeepreneurs”, aka coffee entrepreneurs.
